- (Optional salt rim) Run a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass. Dip the rim into a plate of fine salt, coating evenly. Rotate gently and tap off excess.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Pour 60 ml (2 oz) of tequila blanco over the ice.
- Add 15 ml (0.5 oz) of freshly squeezed lime juice.
- Add a pinch of salt directly into the drink.
- Top with chilled grapefruit soda, pouring gently to retain carbonation.
- Stir gently once or twice to combine.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and a lime wheel.
- Serve immediately.
